The Duchess of Cornwall Kate Middleton and PM David Cameron have joked that the Queen's highlight of Friday's Olympic opening ceremony was seeing Dizzee Rascal live.
The PM and Kate both in attendance at a Creative Industries cocktail reception in London last night (July 30) as part of the government's GREAT campaign.
Joking about what he believed to be the Queen's personal highlight of Danny Boyle's £27m vision, Cameron turned to Middleton and said: “My favourite part of the opening ceremony was when your husband leant over and said to me 'I don't know if you know, Prime Minister, but my grandmother is a great fan of Dizzee Rascal.'”
Kate Middleton reportedly laughed at the joke and nodded.
It is not just David Cameron's LOL rating that has been improved by the Olympics. All of the acts who appeared inside the stadium (and in front of a TV audience of millions) have seen their sales sharply increase since Friday.
Meanwhile, unlikely stars of the ceremony F*ck Buttons spoke to us about just how their 10 minute drone tracks ended up eing used on the night.
