Muse have unveiled the artwork for their upcoming sixth studio album 'The 2nd Law'. Check it out here.

The image is a photograph of the human brain taken from The Human Connectome Project, a project set up to highlight the pathways of the brain by illustrating them with different luminous colours.

‘The 2nd Law’ will be the band’s sixth studio album, and is said to be focused around a dubstep sound. Lead singer Matt Bellamy recently said that they were inspired to explore the genre after seeing a Skrillex gig in Camden.

Muse current single ‘Survival’ is the official Olympic single, and according to Bellamy is one of very few tracks on the album that isn’t dubstep influenced.

The band recently carried the Olympic torch through their hometown of Teignmouth in Deveon, and were subsequently offered to run the council for a day by the local council leader, Jeremy Christopher.
