Festivals are about a lot of things, paying over the odds for crap burgers and avoiding portaloos mainly, but they're also brilliant for discovering new music too.

OK, so nobody really buys a ticket to exclusively see brand new acts but the assortment of fresh new stuff on offer is a tasty treat on top of the huge bands you set out to see rocking the main stage.

With that in mind, allow us to suggest 20 of the best new acts to be gracing the tiny tents, stages and fields of the UK this Summer. Don't worry, we only charge a very small finders fee.
