19 April, 2012: Twelve years after the release of their debut album, Lostprophets remain a driving force on the UK rock scene, as recent Top Ten album 'Weapons' has proven.
Currently on tour across the UK, the Welsh rockers last night performed at Liverpool's O2 Academy, performing classic tracks alongside cuts from the new album.
Frontman Ian Watkins recently revealed he had wanted to record One Direction-type songs for t'Weapons', revealing his love for pop music. "We’ve got loads of stuff for this album which we didn’t use as it’s too pop – that’s my jam." he said in an interview with The Daily Star. "Apparently One Direction have said they want rock songs on their next album. Well I want One Direction songs."
Gigwise recently caught up with the band to ask question from fans and also find out how much the band know about their own history.
