Marina and the Diamonds played her only show of 2011 last night at St John-at-Hackney Church, backed by an array of talented support.
Marina, who rose to fame after finishing runner-up in the BBC Sound poll of 2010, released her debut 'The Family's Jewels' last year and is set to return with a follow-up during 2012.
The Greco-Welsh singer played with a full backing band and string orchestra, showcasing some new songs as well as ones taken from her first record and handful of EPs.
The night's packed line-up was completed by East London songwriter Spark and Swedish electro group Icona Pop.
Spark (also known as singer Jess Morgan) caused a great impression on the night and so did Stockholm-based Icona Pop who have been making waves lately, releasing their first EP 'Nights Like This' and even gaining an unusual mention on the gossip website Perez Hilton.
