Foo Fighters To Play Videogame Convention BlizzCon 2011

Foo Fighters will play at this year's US videogame convention BlizzCon, it has been announced.

The band will headline the two day event at the Anaheim Convention Centre in California on October 22.

Frontman Dave Grohl joined Tenacious D at the event last year, which celebrates gaming franchises Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and MGMT will take part in a week of tributes to Pink Floyd.

US TV show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will host the series of tributes in a number of special episodes which will include from Foo Fighters and MGMT.

Pink Floyd members Roger Waters and Nick Mason will also appear on the show for an in depth interview, NBC has confirmed.
