According to a recent survey, film fans would rather have Wolverine's quick healing ability than any other superpowers.

The Survey, which was carried out by the European film rental service Lovefilm, looked into the 'coolest' and most wanted superpowers of all time.

Let's face it, we've all wondered what superpower we'd choose if we ever had the chance. Well we are finally given a list of the top ten superpowers of all time, after Lovefilm questionned over 3,000 film fans about their favourite powers and which would make the ultimate superhero.

The results showed that Wolverine's powers, which allows him to recover from any injuries and diseases, came in first with a whopping 22 per cent in the vote. Hugh Jackman's Wolwerine was followed by yet another X-Men character: the telepathic Professor X, who came in second place with 21 per cent.

In third place comes Superman's ability to fly with 15 per cent, followed with Hulk's super strength who came in with 11 per cent. Fifth place sees the first female superhero in the list: Sue Storm's power of invisibility, from The Fantastic Four, with 8 per cent.

The sixth place, which is shared by two superheros, finally sees X-Men's Storm who can control the weather, and yet another character from the Fantastic Four: the Human Torch.

Apprently Daredevil's supersenses and Superman's web-slinging powers did not attract many fans as they respectively came into eighth and ninth place with 4 and 3 per cent.

And last but not least is the lovely Dash from The Incredibles in the tenth place, with his super-speed powers, which only scored 2 percent.

Comic artist Jack Lawrence commented on the results: "Having worked with comic books for most of my carrer and naturally being a huge fan of superhero films, a few results really surprised me."

Most of the characters on the list such as Spiderman, The Fantastic Four, The Hulk, The X-Men, Daredevil and Thor, were the creations of Stan Lee, and have now been adapted into major Hollywood blockbusters.
