Now that we're exactly six months into the year, Gigwise thought it was about time we celebrated the Best Albums Of 2011 Sor Far – because let's be honest, there have been some crackers.
Our special round-up includes LPs from both established acts - including The Strokes, Lupe Fiasco, Elbow, Radiohead, Lykki Li and Wild Beasts - as well as some stunning debut albums from the likes of Jessie J, The Vaccines, James Blake and Chapel Club.
So far this year there have also been some great comebacks from Hercules And The Love Affair and the chart-topping sensation that is Adele, as well as unexpected solo debuts.
As well as the cover of each album, we’ve included a sound byte about each record. Let us know your favourite album of the year so far by filling out the comment form below – Facebook users can comment automatically.
