Michael Jackson in Los Angeles, January 1984 - While shooting a lucrative Pepsi commercial in front of thousands of fans in Los Angeles, Wacko Jacko was hit by a freak accident. His hair, which was doused in hair spray, accidentally caught fire from pyrotechnics on stage leaving Michael with second degree burns. PepsiCo settled the ensuing court case with a $1.5million payout to the charity the 'Michael Jackson Burns Center'.

1. Stop calling him "Wacko Jacko" for God's sake. You are not being clever or funny. The man has a name -- learn to use it. 2. His hair didn't catch on fire because of "hair spray." For one, any person's hair would have caught fire if they had a bunch of pyrotechnics explode right above them, against safety regulations, etc. Secondly, MJ had jherri curl, which is chemically relaxed hair (otherwise he would've had that big afro). Not hair spray.
