LCD Soundsystem were joined by Arcade Fire as they played their final gig in New York last night (April 2).
The James Murphy-fronted band played a 29-song set at Madison Square Garden – one day after The Strokes played at the same venue.
Arcade Fire’s Win and Will Butler, Régine Chassagne and Jeremy Gara accompanied LCD Soundsystem as backing singers on ‘North American Scum’.
The band’s set was split into three parts and two encores, and also included the songs ‘Drunk Girls’, ‘I Can Change’ and set-closer ‘New York I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down’.
Murphy told the crowd: "This is a weird experience for us. In keeping with the history of our band, we hope it's going to be a weird experience for everybody.
The audience included Courtney Love and Susan Sarandon, reports Billboard.
