Kings Of Leon frontman Caleb Followill joked about the group's unfortunate experience with a pigeon infestation as they played in Chicago on Saturday (July 24).
On Friday (July 23), the band walked off stage three songs into their set at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St Louis after bassist Jared Followill was hit by pigeon droppings.
Fans were left disappointed by the decision, but a spokesperson insisted that the pigeons prompted a “toxic health hazard”.
In an apparent reference to the incident the following night at Chicago's First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, Followill said: "We've made it through five songs.”
Kings Of Leon eventually left the stage unscathed following their performance,
according to the Chicago Tribune.
The group are currently on a US tour and return to the UK in August to headline the V Festival.
