Wendy O Williams – Shortly before she shot to fame as the raucous lead singer of punk anarchists The Plasmatics, the late Wendy O Williams had a career in the adult film industry. She gained notoriety specifically for her role in 1979’s Candy Goes To Hollywood, thanks to a scene involving her genitalia and a ping-ping ball (we’ll leave you to imagine the rest). Alongside this, her music career took off – she even collaborated with Motorhead’s Lemmy on a 1982 solo release.
