8. Arcade Fire: Funeral (2005) - They may hail from the country that gave us Brian Adams and Celine Dion - Canada - but everything about Arcade Fire wreaks of grandiose brilliance and touching poignancy. Seemingly out of nowhere they delivered a debut album of astonishing brilliance, that tugged at the heartstrings of millions. Follow-up 'Neon Bible' was nice, but they'll always struggle to top the beauty of 'Funeral'.

- Absolutely love this list! Although, where are Kaiser Chiefs?

- not good enough really

Kaiser Chiefs are on our worst albums of the decade countdown
- not enough dance

I was just thinking about this the other day. Can't argue with most of these although I am missing Beck's Sea Change, Bon Iver and CSS.
