Dave Grohl has teased that not only might there be another series of Sonic Highways, but that it might even be set in the UK.
Foo Fighters won the hearts of fans and critics when they gave insight into their writing and record process as well as paying tribute to some of the most legendary studios, recording spaces and music scenes in the US with their epic 2014 album Sonic Highways, and album of the same name.
Now, Grohl reveals that they might not be done with the project just yet.
"There might be a season two," Groghl told Billboard. "There are a lot of studios."
Speaking of the band's love of the UK, Grohl continued: "If we went to somewhere like Abbey Road it'd be fun to interview someone like Paul McCartney or George Martin, that'd be kind of cool," he said. "Or go to say, Berlin, and interview someone like David Bowie or Iggy [Pop]." Grohl even suggested the tempting prospect of heading north to interview the Happy Mondays.
He added that most of the knowledge comes courtesty of drummer Taylor Hawkins: "Taylor is one to ask about the UK studios, he's been to them all, even if they're kebab shops now. He'll show up and be like, 'You guys know that they fucking recorded Queen's The Game in here, right?'"
So there you have it - expect the Foos in a kebab shop near you, probably with a 'secret show' or two thrown in.
