In a somewhat unlikely scenario, Ryan Adams has admitted that he and his mates The Strokes are partial to that most rock n' roll of activities - a game of chess.
Friends since Adams moved to New York - he even covered The Strokes' seminal debut album 'Is This It?' - he told Rolling Stone that the game has become "a pretty rockin' deal" for his band The Cardinals and that Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture is "pretty damn good".
Adams did however admit that he had yet to indulge in The Strokes' other main pastime - poker.
