C4 showing alternative opening ceremony

10:29 7th February 2014

Channel 4 has joined the anti-gay protests against Russia, premiering their song 'Gay Mountain' in support of athletes currently in Sochi. Check it out below.

The rather brilliant toungue in cheek advert shows a "bear" cabaret act singing "good luck gays, on gay mountain". Plans are to broadcast the song across the Channel 4 network at 7pm tonight (7 February) as the BBC2's coverage of the opening ceremony reaches its climax.
