It has been announced 'This Charming Man' is the most downloaded track recorded by both The Smiths and Morrissey, on the day of it was released 30 years ago.

According to The Official Charts Company, other popular tracks include 'Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want', 'How Soon Is Now' and 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out'. Former frontman Morrissey's solo efforts proved to be less in demand, with only three of his tracks making the top 10, the highest charting being 2004 effort 'First Of The Gang To Die'.

The notoriously outspoken singer was also recently allegedly treated for injuries including whiplash, concussion and an arm injury following a car accident in Los Angeles.
