Wig-swapping pop legend Cher has revealed she never hated Madonna, but did think the 'Like A Virgin' star was 'a bitch'.
The 'Turn Back Time' star has been pitted against Madonna since her emergence in the early eighties, and in a fan Q&A on Reddit, Cher has now revealed her respect for her supposed rival, albeit in a backhanded manner.
"Madge, no. Actually I don’t," she told fans when asked about the competition. "I never hated her, I just thought she was a bitch. Actually, I quite respect her.
"I think Madge might be one of the most amazing artists I’ve known. I don’t like everything she does, for sure, but she is always riding the crest of the wave"

Like the rest of us however, Cher did add that she was baffled by Madonna's 2012 release MDNA, which saw the trend-setting superstar riding the coattails of the EDM movement.
"She always saw trends WAY before anyone else, and had great videos," Cher added. "So, besides saying “WTF is MDNA”, I’m fine with it."
