Ahead the release of her debut album Pure Heroine in October, young popstress and future superstar Lorde has premiered her new song 'Team'. Listen to the track below.

Lorde, who has previously stated that James Blake and Nicki Minaj are two of her biggest influences, seems completely bemused by the hype around her music so far, but it looks like 'Team' is only going to cement her route to fame even further.

Speaking of 'Team' she said: "In that song, there are a few lines which are kind of me being the 'realistic' pop star. 'We live in cities you'll never see onscreen', which is like, no one comes to New Zealand, no on knows anything about New Zealand and here I am trying to grow up and become a person.

"I've been countering that with going to New York and seeing this place that's in every movie and every TV show. Part of me wanted to go back to writing for me and for my friends, and write something that I felt related to us a little bit."

Her single 'Royals' has already had huge success on both sides of the Atlantic, and the singer looks set to take over the UK shortly, with a London show in September, her album release on the 28th October and a confirmed slot on the new series of Later...With Jools Holland.
