Ahead of the summer release of their seventh studio album, Sigur Ros have premiered new track 'Isjaki'. Listen below.
The third track to be revealed from the band's Kveikur album, following previous release 'Brennistein' and the album's title track, 'Isjaki' is a more accessible introduction to the 'direct' sounds of the new album. The new record promises to be a more conventional collection of ambient rock epics, following the dreamlike soundscapes of 2012 album, Valtari.
The track is accompanied with a lyric video - which is great news for those fluent in Icelandic and Hopelandic - the made up language which frontman Jonsi sings many of the band's tracks. 'Isjaki' is available for download to anyone who pre-orders Kveikur through iTunes now.
Sigur Ros recently performed two shows at both Coachella Weekends this year, and begin their world tour on 10 May 2013 - which includes a number of festival shows and arena gigs in the UK.
