Azealia Banks has shared a few lines of her upcoming verse on Lady Gaga track 'Red Flame'.

The duet was recorded with Gaga last year, and it's thought that 'Red Flame' will feature on Gaga's upcoming album, ARTPOP.

Speaking about the track to Brazilian website Plantão Mix, Banks said, "I worked with Lady Gaga from afar.

"We worked via email and the internet, we have a song called 'Red Flame' and we also have a song called 'Ratchet' that... I don't know what she's doing with it, she's going to release it when she wants to release it and - yeah, I'm really excited about it."

Banks recently pushed back the release date of new single 'Yung Rapunxel' to March. The track was set to be the first release from debut album Broke With Expensive Taste, and Banks wrote on Twitter that it would be available on 12 February.

However, in a Ustream chat with her fans yesterday, Banks said that it would now drop "in March."

The New Yorker signed to Interscope Records in the US and Polydor in the UK in 2012 and has only released EPs, 212 and 1991 as well as her Fantasea mixtape so far.

She wrote on Twitter today (13 February), "IM ITCHING TO RELEASE NEW MUSIC !! *kicks wall in fit of rage* l."

Lady Gaga ARTPOP: 'Red Flame' and more, everything we know about her new album

  • Having shared images of herself in the buff to hit back at critics, who labelled her fat, it has been reported that Gaga does not just get naked for pictures to post online. Whilst recording 'ARTPOP' Gaga has rarely been seen wearing clothes while in the studio as it apparently makes her voice sound better?!

  • A tribute album to French singer Edith Piaf? To mark the death of the iconic star, Gaga is rumoured to be in talks with EMI for permission to use nine of Piaf's songs to possibly sample on her tracks. Gaga also plans to purchase the rights to Piaf's first ever filmed performance to be shown during the singer's concerts.

  • It could feature a song called 'Princess Die'. Rumoured to been inspired by the death of the late Princess Diana, the ballad has become a staple of Gaga's live set as she tours the Born This Way Ball. Gaga revealed that it could end up on the album but as a slow and sad song she has admitted it is not entirely indicative of her latest work.

  • A demo song from 2010 to be re-recorded for the album - A demo version of 'Nothing On (But The Radio)' was rumoured to be featuring on ARTPOP and these rumours seem to have more worth when Lady Gaga's sound engineer Dave Russell responded to a Twitter query about Gaga's next release saying: 'N O, ;)'. The smiley face says it all.

  • The album title ARTPOP was revealed in a way that only Gaga could. The star posted a picture of the word ARTPOP tattooed under her armpit on Twitter followed by "Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title it's all in the details." So yeah respect Gaga's wish when writing about 'artpop'.

  • Three song titles already confirmed for the album - Titles 'Candy Art', 'Cold Hearted Bitch' and 'CRWTH', have all been officially listed with Broadcast Music Inc, the organisation that collects royalties for musicians. Co-writers listed for the tracks are Paul Blair (also known as DJ White Shadow) Jeppe Laursen (who also worked on Gaga's 'Born This Way' album) and Megan Jaqulinn.

  • Will the tracks from the new album reflect the singers tough time in the months before the recording began? In a startlingly honest letter to her fans, Gaga revealed in August that the past twelve months have been amongst the worst of her life. The 'Born This Way' singer said that both professionally and personally many things have gone wrong for her including self-confidence issues about her body image and the betrayal of lifelong friends.

  • ARTPOP will be uniquely released as an App - Gaga told fans the album will be "completely interactive with chats, films for every song, extra music, content, gaga inspired games, fashion updates, magazines, and more still in the works! I will also be able to upload new things to the APP all the time, the same way I upload to Twitter and LM.com."

  • A collaboration with Azealia Banks? In September, Banks said that she had collaborated with Lady Gaga on a new song; however the rapper was unsure whether the track will make it onto ARTPOP. Banks%u2019 admitted "I hope it will make her record, but we'll wait and see."

  • Lady Gaga's love of cannabis to inspire a 'stoner' album? Whilst performing in Amsterdam Gaga lit up a spliff on stage and decided to talk about "my current openness about being a cannabis smoker." Adding "I have decided that I want you to know the truth, which is that it has totally changed my life and that I've really cut down on drinking... It's, like, been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music." Totally Gaga, we hear ya.

  • It looks like there could be a track called 'Sex Dreams' on the album. Tweeting to her fans, Gaga posted, "We could be caught, were both convicted criminals of thought. -Sex Dreams #ARTPOP." While the name maybe isn't the most imaginative, it's more information than we've had in a while.

  • 2013 could bring us an autumn release of the album - so not that much longer to wait. Gaga confirmed an autumn release through her Twitter account - and added, "Oh. And when I tell you the album release date, I suggest you plan a party with your friends. Maybe I will too :)"

  • We already told you about the possible collaboration with Azealia Banks, but the album could also see collaborations with both Beyonce and Rihanna. A leaked track called 'Ratchet' featured all four of the singers on it and, although it hasn't been confirmed either way, it would definitely be something to look out for.

  • The album is going to be risky! In a chat on the Little Monsters website, Gaga said, "ARTPOP is very risky... if you're not taking a risk you're not breaking any boundaries." She went on to say that it will be "like an assault... on your mind, ears, body." Sounds interesting!
