One Direction fans have behaved in their typically level-headed fashion after news that boyband member Zayn Malik cheated on his Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards -  bombarding the Australian waitress involved with death threats.

Courtney Webb claims that she and Zayn spent the night together following a party at the singer's house, with Zayn apparently assuring her that he was single.

The 1D lad has been in a relationship with Perrie Edwards of Little Mix for more than a year, and has publicly bragged about the trust Edwards has in him.

But the boyband's fans have taken Twitter to threaten and warn the Australian waitress.

One fan Tweeted: "Courtney Webb... we will find you and kill you. Sincerely Directioners."

Another posted: "You are a freaking idiot if you believe that Zayn cheated on Perrie. I will personally haunt you in your sleep and maybe kill you."

A third threatened, "Seriously I'll kill courtney webb if Zayn and Perrie break up because of her. B**ch you knew he's taken. You just wanted fame and money b**ch."

It has also been alleged that a friend of Zayn's, Leon Anderson, posted Webb's phone number of Twitter saying, "Ppl (sic) shouldn't tell lies."

The message has since been deleted.

Malik apparently met with Little Mix's Perrie at a hotel in Nottingham yesterday to talk about the alleged indiscretion.

The Sun quotes Perrie as sayin: "I'm totally fine, I'm good. I'm looking forward to the show, this is going to be the best night."
