Bruno Mars has written a song specifically intended to be played in strip clubs.

The singer decided to write a club orientated track after hearing his song Just The Way you Are being played while he partied in a Paris strip club with his entourage.

"After a concert in Paris, we went to a strip club," he tells Rolling Stone magazine.

"The promoter got on the mic and said, 'We have a special guest, Bruno Mars!' - and then played 'Just The Way You Are'.

"That's the worst thing to hear in that environment, so I resolved to write a good one."

The new track, 'Money Make Her Smile', sees Mars adopting a more club-friendly sound, including rave sirens.

Much-in-demand producer Diplo was drafted in to give the song its party sound.

"Diplo has all the sounds in his computer to make the club go wild," Mars said.

Speaking about the record, Diplo said: "he wanted to have something for the club, that has some noise on it and an 'I don't give a fuck' feel.

"Still, he writes giant pop songs. Bruno just does things with the songwriting that I could never do - I've never spent so much time working on a bridge or post-chorus, but that's what you have to do."

The new track will be featured on Mars' upcoming album Unorthodox Jukebox, which is due for release on December 12th.

The singer premiered the first single from the album, 'Locked Out Of Heaven', during a live chat at the start of October.

Mars will be hoping Unorthodox Jukebox will find the same success as his 2010 debut album Doo Wops & Hoolighans, which has gone multi-platinum and sold over six million copies worldwide.
