Nicki Minaj might have got away with insulting Mariah Carey but she would face sterner competition from Stevie Nicks if she were to insult her.

The Fleetwood Mac star spoke out on the feud between Minaj and Mariah, which bubbled over last week with a foul-mouthed rant on the set of American Idol which was duly caught on camera.

Speaking to The Daily.com, Nicks said she would have 'strangled' Minaj to death if she'd insulted her the same way she spoke to Mariah Carey in the leaked clip.

"How dare this little girl!... If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there... I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it."  said Nicks.
However, that's not to say that Nicks would be up for replacing either of the judges should they quit, "If you stick me in the middle of a burning fire, I don't think I'd like it very much."

Since ast week's incident Nicki Minaj has denied making threats to shoot Mariah, who has subsequently upped her security whilst around the 'Starships' rapper.
