Band to premiere new track at 8:15 on Radio 2

The Rolling Stones have will premiere, and release, their new single today at 8:15am.

The single is the first time Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie have recorded in a studio together for seven years. 'Doom and Gloom' was recorded in Paris by their long time- producer Don Was.  The track is taken from the band's upcoming hits collection GRRR! The track will be given its world premiere at 8:15am on Radio 2 - and will be immediately available to download on iTunes.

Fans will also be able to pre-order GRRR! on Thursday 11 October.

Excitement for the future of The Stones has been growing recently, after Keith Richards revealed the rock legends have booked future shows in London and New York.

"We've got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can't talk about any of that at the moment," he tells the magazine. "They've put the gag on me on this. You can hint!
