Rihanna and Taylor Swift lead the nominations at this year's MTV EMAs, each picking up an armfull of nominations after they were revealed today.
Rihanna has six nominations, including a nod for Best Song, whilst Taylor Swift has five nominations. Katy Perry and Justin Bieber have four each whilst Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey have three a piece.
The Best Rock category looks set to be a toughly fought one with Green Day, Muse, Linkin Park, The Killers and Coldplay all nominated.
The 2012 MTV EMAs take place on November 11th in Frankfurt, Germany. Fans can vote in all categories on the EMA website until November 9th.
