Taylor Swift has reportedly experimented with a dubstep style song on her new album 'Red'.

The country star, famed for her romantic lyrics about famous ex-boyfriends, has rarely strayed far from her usual style in the past but is said to be stepping out of her comfort box on her latest album, due later this year.

Rolling Stone, who have heard the album, report on one song on the record which is described as a 'key track' that 'features a dubstep-inspired bass breakdown'.

The one song fans of Swift's have heard from 'Red' is the single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' which sold 600k copies in one week in the US, smashing a record previously held by Lady Gaga.

Other songs on 'Red' that Rolling Stone reported on include "a howling, U2-style epic with reverb-drenched guitars" as well as "a sweet acoustic duet" featuring Ed Sheeran.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed last week that Taylor Swift will make a guest appearance in London at the Radio 1 Teen Awards this November.
