One Direction have confirmed that their new single will be titled 'Live While We're Young' and fans will be able to pre-order it this Friday (Aug 24).

The song, which will be the first single from the X Factor boyband's second album, is written by Rami Yacoub & Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha who wrote the boys huge hit 'What Makes You Beautiful'.

'Live While We're Young' is due to be released on September 30th.

Meanwhile, the group have also confimed some of the big names they have been working with on their second album, including Ed Sheeran, McFly's Tom Fletcher and Katy Perry song writer Dr Luke.

Shellback, who wrote the infectious/ irritating 'Moves Like Jagger' are also involved in the project.

One Direction hit the headlines this week when Zayn Malik of the group quit Twitter to get away from the 'useless opinions' many users on the site subject him to. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was blamed for the exit according to many One Direction fans.
