Absolutely Fabulous creator Jennifer Saunders has said she will never allow Madonna to make a cameo on her BBC show, after the MDNA star turned down her invites one too often.

The comedy actress has spoken how she was once desperate to sign up the MDNA star for a guest appearance on her comedy show, but after being turned down time and time again, Madge has been slapped with a lifetime ban.

In a new interview, Saunders reveals disappointment in the singer, who has turned down constant invites to appear on the show.

"We have had loads of celebrities who have said no to us, but always Madonna. Madonna is the bane of our lives," says the writer and actress.

"In fact even if she said yes now we would have to turn her down. Madonna has always said no - and so are we."

A new, Olympics-themed episode of Absolutely Fabulous screened in the UK this week.
