The xx have confirmed that they will release their second album 'Coexist' in September.
The London trio made their return to the music scene with three low-key gigs in the capital earlier this year. The three shows saw the band testing out material from 'Coexist' with fans reporting of a more 'club-orientated' vibe on the tracks.
Speaking to NME about their new songs, Romy Madely-Croft said: "I've been thinking that I hope people enjoy it as a separate thing. The first album exists – we're not trying to make it again."
Adding: "We've just grown up, and although this isn't a 'grown up' album, we’ve evolved. It's just us growing a bit more. I hope people enjoy it as a continuation, rather than us trying to make the first album again."
'Coexist' is to be released on September 10th.
