Jay-Z will reportedly write new songs for a big screen remake of the musical Annie, starring Willow Smith.
The rapper is no stranger to the 1978 musical, having sampled the song 'Hard Knock Life' on a track from his iconic 1998 album 'The Blueprint'.
Willow Smith's Father Will confirmed that the new film was being made, starring his daughter. Smith himself will produce the film with British actress Emma Thompson penning the script.
Jay-Z is currently on tour with Kanye West as Watch The Throne, with the pair recently completing five night in London. The rapper was spotted in Cannes at the premiere of West's film Cruel Summer.
