Lana Del Rey could be set to swap the stage for the big screen after impressing movie moguls at the Cannes film festival this week.
The 'Born To Die' star has been in France as the annual film event takes place and it is claimed that Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein has been impressed with what he's seen and vowed to make Lana a star in one of his upcoming films.
“Harvey thinks there’s something about Lana. He knows all about her music but believes she’s got what it takes to be a film star. She’s got the looks and a stage presence which he thinks will transfer well to the big screen," a source told The Sun.
Weinstein, whose studio was behind the success of massive films such as The King's Speech and The Artist, was reportedly overheard telling Lana how "The camera loves you".
We would take this with a pinch of salt though, a year ago it was the tabloids reporting how Weinstein was set to give the very same break to Cheryl Cole.
