The Enemy have been forced to move two gigs they were due to perform at Coventry Cathedral over health and safety fears.

The local band were due to launch their new album 'Streets In The Sky' with the special shows on May 21, 22 but will now have to perform them at city venue Kasbah after council rules meant that the initial plan was not viable.

Speaking to the BBC about the decision to cancel performing at the Cathedral, The Enemy's manager Dave Bianchi blamed, "Everything from sound limits to road closures to the fire brigade deciding the amount of fire exits."

"This isn't something which I'm passing the blame onto anybody. It was a unique situation.

Adding: "With everybody's enthusiasm to make it happen I think a few things weren't thought about to the extent that they possibly should have done".

Council officials in Coventry have also revealed that they initially wanted the band to perform a free gig in the Broadgate area of the city.
