Blink 182 have been forced to cancel a number of US tour dates after drummer Travis Barker was forced to undergo an emergency operation to remove his tonsils.

The operation has affected a small number of US tour dates but is not expected to impact on any of Blink's forthcoming shows in the UK this Summer.

Two of Blink 182's dates at Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK have been rescheduled whilst the remaining dates have been pulled entirely.

A statement written on the band's official website claims: "The band apologises for any inconvenience as a result of these cancelations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support." Adding that Barker's "recovery period (is) expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates."

Blink 182's UK tour is expected to kick off on June 7th at Birmingham's NIA.
