UK project Music Matters has premiered a tribute video in celebration of what would have been the 101st birthday of blues legend, Robert Johnson.

The video, which marks the star's life and death, celebrates the influence the guitar player had on music greats in the music industry. Johnson never achieved mainstream success but was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and was cited by David Fricke of The Rolling Stones as one of the top five guitarists of all time.

Johnson has been named as an influence on The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin, with Eric Clapton once calling him: "The most important blues singer that ever lived."

Music Matters promotes the work of musicians behind the scenes - not just those on the stage - with producers, engineers and many more being given a spotlight.
