The Enemy have admitted that they're not really into football, just days before they perform at Wembley stadium before the FA Cup final.
The Coventry band, who release new album 'Streets In The Sky' later this month , will provide the pre-match entertainment on Saturday before the big game between Chelsea and Liverpool. However, speaking to the Daily Star singer Tom Clarke said that he prefers a different sport.
“We’re not even massive football fans. I’m way more into Formula 1.” Tom said, adding: “But the chance to play on the roof at Wembley took half a second to say yes to.”
Meanwhile, Tom also revealed a begrudging admiration for pop music, saying he has learnt to appreciate the skill that goes into crafting a hit single.
“Around our first album we had offers to write for internationally massive artists and we turned them all down." he said. Adding: “We’re not closed-minded idiots who hate all pop music. Even cheesy pop, I sometimes think: ‘That’s a well-written song.’”
The FA Cup final takes place this Saturday, May 5th. Hard-Fi will also provide the music at Wembley Stadium.
