She can sing, she can dance and now it appears that there is no end to Beyonce's talents as she has been awarded a prize for her recent journalism work.
No, we didn't know Beyonce had been sneaking into our territory but she has been recognised by the New York Association of Black Journalists for a piece titled 'Eat, Play, Love' which was published by Essence in July 2011.
The article documented Beyonce's short time away from music before she wrote her hit album '4'.
"She's a real writer. We had to edit her, but everyone gets edited except Toni Morrison," Essence entertainment director Cori Murray said.
Beyonce will collect her award in New York on May 15th.
