Rita Ora has revealed that she rejected the chance to record 'Call My Name', which eventually became Cheryl Cole's new single.
Cheryl debuted the new single to huge praise last week but Rita, who was signed by Jay-Z in America, has claimed that she was offered the track first but decided against it.
Speaking about the track, which was written and produced by Calvin Harris, Rita told The Sun: “I heard Call My Name quite a while ago because I was offered it.
“I turned it down. I do like the song but I didn’t want to sing it ’cos it’s not really me. I don’t want to go down the dance route that a lot of other pop stars are doing.
Adding: “I prefer to have my own sound and do my own thing.”
Rita Ora has already tasted success alongside DJ Fresh and her solo single 'RIP' is set to be another huge hit.
