Adele has revealed she will release new music later in 2012 - contrary to previous reports that fans may have to wait until 2014 for new material.
In an interview with French radio station NRJ, the singer confirmed plans to premiere new music later this year. Online rumours suggest that Adele's new track may well be the long-rumoured James Bond theme to new movie, Skyfall.
"I'm not going on a break for that long!' she told the radio station. "I have to write another record, if I didn't write my own songs i'd be out next week with a new album, but because I write my own songs I have to take time and live a little bit. There was a good two years between my first and second album, so it will be the same this time."
"There will be a new song probably coming out at the end of the year, and then it depends how quickly I write some new songs - but it won't be for a good two years."
Adele's debut album '19' was released in 2008 and follow up '21' in 2011 - suggesting the we can expect a new album ('23'?) in 2013.
