Blur fans waiting for news on new material from the reformed Britpop band might find some comfort in the announcement of a new album from frontman Damon Albarn.
Or, depending on their thoughts on a 'strange pastoral folk' album inspired by a mathematician, they might not.
The indie star will release his collection of music composed for his Dr Dee opera on May 7, 2012. The 18-track album was recorded in London in 2011 with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Damon will perform Dr dee in April at OneFest in Wiltshire.
"I'm really looking forward to the festival; Wiltshire in spring feels like a perfect setting for Dr Dee songs," said Albarn. "Some of my favourite musicians are playing with me, it will be special."
The full tracklisting of the album is as follows:
'The Golden Dawn'
'Apple Carts'
'Oh Spirit Animate Us'
'The Moon Exalted'
'A Man of England'
'Saturn'
