Rihanna has taken to Twitter to defend her recent collaboration with Chris Brown to fans.
Last week the singer released her new remix 'Birthday Cake' featuring former boyfriend Brown. Her decision has since sparked a mix reaction amongst fans and the media.
A fan tweeted at the singer following the tracks release: "I gotta admit, I lost a lot of respect for @rihanna...Makin a song w/the dude that beat your face off is not a good look (sic)."
To the message Rihanna replied: "@JuhReeV neither is your avi #clapback" and "U Mad? #No1Currrrr (sic)."
Representatives for the pair have continued to deny any romance between them but domestic violence experts have warned Rihanna to be wary of her former boyfriend.
Lyrics in the collaboration feature Brown singing: "Girl I wanna f*ck you right now, been a long time I've been missing your body.''
