Dizzee Rascal has been announced as the first support for the Red Hot Chili Peppers forthcoming Knebworth show.
As previously announced the band will play the massive open air concert at Knebworth Park, Stevenage on June 23, as Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Sunday, June 24 and Dublin's Croke Park on June 26.
These three shows will be the only opportunity for UK fans to see Red Hot Chili Peppers live in concert in this country this year supporting recent number one album I’m With You.
Speaking about the two shows, frontman Anthony Keidis said: “Our philosophy is we’ll play any day, any time and we’re coming to do Knebworth and Sunderland.”
The show at Knebworth will be the first huge non festival show of its kind held at the park since Robbie Williams’ record-breaking three-night stint eight years ago.
