Tickets for The Happy Mondays UK tour, set for later this year, go on sale today (February 3).
The band featuring Shaun Ryder, his brother Paul, Gary Whelan, Bez and Rowetta Satchell will return for live shows this year, along with Mark Day and Paul Davis.
The tour, featuring support from Inspiral Carpets, will kick off at Newcastle Academy on May 2, with dates in Glasgow, Manchester and Sheffield.
The group said in a statement: "The rumours are true... Happy Mondays, the seminal Manchester band who changed musical culture forever has reformed and will be available for select live gigs across 2012."
The Manchester band have reunited twice before but without original members Mark Day, Paul Davis, Rowetta Satchell and Paul Ryder.
