Rihanna Splashes Out 100,000 Pounds On Marilyn Monroe Artwork

Rihanna has splashed out 100,000 pounds on a portrait of Marilyn Monroe.

The singer bought the artwork designed by British artist Claire Milner. The impressive artwork features 65,000 crystals and is designed to change colour as it reflects the light in the room.

Ms Milner told The Sun: 'I tried to show the glitter of the public life and then the sadness in Marilyn's eyes.'

Adding: '''A 100 per cent Swarovski crystal portrait is very luxurious - people stand and stare because it constantly changes colour, sending rainbows round the room.''

Meanwhile, Adele, Rihanna and Justin Bieber were among the big winners at this year's NRJ Awards in France.

The London singer picked up two awards, 'International Revelation of the Year' and 'International Song of the Year' for 'Someone Like You'.

While, Justin Bieber and Shakira were both handed the 'Award of Honour', with Rihanna collecting' International Female Artist of the Year'.
