Laura Marling, Refused are among the acts added to the line-up for this year's Primavera Sound festival.
The Drums, The Black Lips, Beirut, Girls, Iceage, Kings Of Convenience, Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo, Melvins, Richard Hawley, Rufus Wainwright, St Etienne, The Rapture, Trash Talk will also perform.
The festival takes place May 30 – June 3, 2012 at Parc Del Forum in Barcelona will see The xx make their live comeback
The London trio will debut tracks from their forthcoming second album at the event.
Meanwhile, the xx posted news to fans on the process of their second album on a newly set up blog xx-xx.co.uk on which they will also post regular updates on the album.
The band wrote: "We have started recording our second album! We have also started this blog where we will post our inspirations and pictures and favourite songs."
Since the release of The xx's debut album member Jamie Smith released his first solo album.
