Irving Azoff, the Chairman and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment has been named the most powerful figure in the music industry, whilst Beyonce and Jay-Z trail not too far behind.
Working as a personal manager for artists including Christina Aguilera and Journey, founding the Front Line Management Group and operating as CEO for Ticketmaster, Azoff came in at the top of Billboard's Power 100, with the magazine describing him as “the game changer.”
Beyonce and Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter ranked together as number 13 on the list. Carter still holds the record for the most number one albums to top the Billboard chart, whilst his wife has sold more than 29 million albums as a solo artist and part of Destiny's Child.
Other notable listings include U2 and their manager Paul McGuiness at number 27, Jon Bon Jovi at number 50 and Taylor Swift at number 78.
Lady Gaga followed behind Swift at number 84, whilst Simon Cowell just made the cut at number 100.
