Nickelback have responded to a number of abusive tweets via Twitter.
They directly responded to various abusive comments that appeared on the social networking site.
One comment read “"Was driving down the street, and a @Nickelback song came on. I had an aneurysm and violently s**t myself at the same time. And my dog died."
They quickly replied: "I bet it was the best day you've had in awhile. #yourwelcome"
Another user tweeted: "Nickelback came on the radio... Worse than Rebecca black #earsbleeding". They proceeded to jokingly write back: "Then it's working?!?!? Sweet!"
The band were also slated in Rolling Stone earlier this month, by Black Keys drummer, Patrick Carney, who blamed the band for the 'death of Rock 'n' Roll.'
"Rock 'n' roll is dying because people became okay with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world.
"So they became okay with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be s**t - therefore you should never try to be the biggest rock band in the world. F**k that."

Nickelback responded to the comments by tweeting: "Thanks to the drummer in The Black Keys calling us the Biggest Band in the World in Rolling Stone. Hehe."
