Soundgarden have denied recent reports that they fell out with Kanye West during Australian's Big Day Out music festival.
The band, who performed at last week's event shortly before West took to the stage, were said to have complained that the US rapper's soundcheck interfered with their set.
According to reports lead singer Chris Cornell said to the crowds during West's soundcheck: "Sounds like there's children playing music there, retarded children, retarded as in held back. There's no other word for it."
Chris Cornell took to Twitter to set the record straight : "My comments @BDO were directed solely at inadequate tour production. Kanye had nothing to do with it! We love him."
Big Day Out's CEO Adam Zammit added: "We love Chris and Soundgarden, Kanye and all our bands; he loves Kanye, love is all around us. It's a great show with big acts with big production. When rain plays havoc with production, we all have to play well together."
Last year Soundgarden after a 13-year hiatus.
