Courtney Love has won her legal case with her landlady, it has been reported.
This week Courtney Love was comforted after a battle that could have seen her lose her New York home. Property owner Donna Lyons claimed the star had not been paying her rent on the property which Love now calls home.
According to TMZ the $50,000 (£32,000) bill had been paid by a new payment scheme agreed by the pair.
While Love had been making payments through the new agreed scheme, landlady Lyons was trying to enforce their previous agreement, claiming that the star had not paid her rent. There is still a dispute as to whether Love has damaged the property while redecorating the home.
Accused of ruining the New York property, landlady Lyons exclaimed “I was horrified by what she had done. The walls that had been hand-painted and glazed were ruined, covered in damask wallpaper and ice-blue paint”.
Love also claims that she had been given permission to redecorate her rented accommodation and that arguments with her landlady had made her cry.
The musician is rumoured to have signed a deal to release her memoirs which will surely cover the topic along with her career as a rock star and actress. The book will also cover her relationship with Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and their daughter Frances Bean.
