Jay-Z has revealed that he plans to clean up his lyrical content in new material.
The rapper, who recently celebrated the much anticipated arrival of first child Blue Ivy with wife Beyonce earlier this month, has said that he will drop 'bitch' from all future recordings.
In a poem he released for his daughter he says: “Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it".
He goes on to say that he will always protect her, and that he wont let any man degrade her in the same way “"No man will degrade her, or call her name. I'm so focused on your future, the degradation has passed. I wish you wealth, health and insight. Forever young you may pass. Blue Ivy Carter, my angel".
Beyonce gave at the Lennox Hill hospital in New York on January 7.
